It's my tribute to the great Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar— I love that guy! You'll notice the BabyBloggery.com on the video. That address will also bring you to this website. It's purpose is to drive parents (pun intended) to our Forum so they can share funny and embarrassing stories about their kids.

Go ahead and sign up for the forum now. It's brand spanking new (I don't condone spanking). In a few years you'll be able to say, "I was their from the start!"

And Sammy, if you ever get this, I'd love to have you post some stories too! You Rock, Dude!

The big "One" (I'm trying to do that quote thing with my fingers). Just reflecting back on the awesome year...lots of pooping, a little crying and a whole lot sleeping. But seriously, I've enjoyed a trip to San Diego, Las Vegas, Disneyland and Hollywood. I met some really cool friends at day care and at church, but my favorite is the family time. All of the Grandparents are great, my parents are pretty cool (you know—for parents), and I have lots of fun Aunts and Uncles.

They all came over for a little birthday party. It was perfect... Just family and a few dear friends. Nothing crazy like bounce houses and annoying clowns. I'm only one for Pete's sake. My Grandmother made an incredible chocolate cake with white icing. I was trying to eat it but everyone was taking pictures and laughing, so I decided to give them a show. I smeared a little cake on my gob, tossed a few chunks on the floor, raised my cake-covered hands in the air and yelled something unintelligible (there's a first time for everything). Looking forward to year 2.

Until next time,

Zak

What the?

I'll keep this short as I am still digesting the information. Creatovision has designed logos for all kinds of companies and I knew from their portfolio that they do good work.

It was a fun process. They asked me all kinds of questions about me, my website, my target audience, then came back with a page full of hand-drawn sketches and had a story for each one. I liked them all, but there were 2 that really struck a chord with me (#4 and #10 see photo on right). We talked about these and created a hybrid of the two. The result is what you see at the top of the website.

At first glance what appears to be steaming cup of coffee is really a steamy diaper. Behind it, the words, "Hot off the Press". That's freakin' hilarious! I think I might have to slap this logo on some SWAG and sell it on my website. Thanks Creatovision!

Until next time,

Zak

The Pumpkin Patch

What a great weekend! Mom and Dad took me to my very first pumpkin patch and we picked out 5 pumpkins to bring home. That's in Anaheim for you East Coasters. At Disneyland there's a rule— you park your stroller with the other 150 strollers in the designated stroller area and you can leave some stuff like binkis, rattles and what not, but take your cameras, cell phones, etc with you. That's the rule. It's the honor system and we've done it a hundred times.

My Mom and Dad unloaded everything including the car seat that goes from the car to the stroller very nicely. When we came out from lunch, my stroller wasn't there! We look down the rows of parked buggies and lo and behold, the identical stroller. Not quite identical... it was really beat up and covered in Lord knows what, and there were some obvious girl toys in the bottom.

Some seriously inconsiderate family, upgraded! I was stroller-jacked! Can you believe it? The worst part is that this parent (or lack there of), taught their sponge of a toddler that this was OK! Fortunately the only thing we left in the stroller was a tin of Altoids.

Every once in a while we see someone with the same make and model, and we always check the zippered pocket located under the handle. The zipper was broken on mine... the only thing wrong with the stroller.

Last month my Dad's friend was playing at the Brea Jazz Festival (the Kyle Crane Band), and we see this stroller making its way through the crowd. Ooooh, could this be the one? It's relatively clean. As it passed, the 3 of us all checked out the tail end of the stroller like construction workers at a job site, and in deed- the zipper was busted open! My Dad politely approached the young father pushing his son and asked, "That's a cool stroller! Did it come with a tin of Curiously Strong Altoids?" The man looked puzzled. But I couldn't tell if he was puzzled by such a strange question, or confused that he had been made. We may never know. But there possibly goes one man, pushing the next generation criminal in a stroller. How sad.

Somehow, we must forgive them and move on. Perhaps they needed it more than us. And no worries, I'm cruising around in a sweet new 3-wheel Jeep--with a combination cable lock.

Until next time,

Zak

Faux-Hawks are Faux Cool

This will be short and sweet... what's the deal with faux-hawks? There's a new kid in daycare sporting one of these. Did this 3 year old wake up and say, "I'd like a hair due that reflects the punk rock era of the 70's." I think not... MOM!

Until next time,

Zak

My Daily Diaper Logo

I spent some time yesterday with the creative staff at Creatovision in Fullerton discussing the new logo design for MyDailyDiaper.com. I can't wait to see what they come up with. It takes about a week, so as as soon as I approve the final design, I'll add it to my website it all by myself.

Until next time,

Zak

The Diaper Sausage

Wow! I'm almost 11 months old and I still can't change my own diaper. I don't know if it's the Velcro straps or my under developed opposable thumbs. Who knows...maybe in a few months.

Anyway, after my Dad changed my diaper this morning, I climbed up on the changing table and looked over the edge to see what he was doing with my poopy diaper. He lifted the lid on this white round tube and forced it inside.
